girl here...... need to know... if compression was lost, will this be all the parts needed to repair?? thank you!!!
RONDA D on Sep 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you might not need the entire kit.. just the upper half unless the cam has loose in it.. but generally if the compression is lost it’s a damaged cylinder or rings change the upper half.. also need to find out why it lost compression.. was there enough oil getting to the engine..?

Seems alright, time will tell
I don't have the engine together yet, it's sort of a side project so I've been kinda slow on it. Here's my observations so far.
The bearings that came with it were terrible, I bought a set of decent Nachi's (it takes three 6206 bearings). The crank seals have no markings on them and seem cheap, but I figure I can replace them later if they leak (and far less likely to leak with the better bearings). Make sure and chamfer the edges on the ports in the cylinder, they look pretty rough and will no doubt shorten the life if left as is. The kit was very poorly packaged. The gaskets were pinched/bent, the wristpin bearing was loose and crushed by the cylinder box, and the crank had managed to break through both cardboard boxes and sustained minor damage. I polished up some knicks where the seals go and on the clutch taper and I think it'll be OK. I don't know if I want to check the runout on a set of v-blocks or not, might just be better not knowing (or caring). The keyway will require some touching up to fit the stock key, but shouldn't take too long with a dremel to get it to fit.

All that said, it's a cheap/thrifty kit and I think will work out great for the application. I'm not gonna go race Mario Andretti with this thing, I just want it to run again without surging and backfiring, and I think this will do just fine.

Good Kit Except For Bad Crankshaft Seal
The kit went together very well , except one of the crankshaft seals was bad. I will have to purchase one to complete the build.
Other wise I would recommend this kit to bring back life to an old two stroke motor.
