will a bad MCOR cause club car to run good sometime and then go very slow other times?
Don K on Apr 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It could, typically that would be caused by a speed sensor issue. If the car feels like its going to accelerate normally and then drops back into a low speed mode, its your speed sensor. MCOR would cause more erratic issues with the throttle or not run at all.
Would a old mcor CAUSE the golf cart to not have pull throttle 100%?
bryan on Aug 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: When the MCOR goes bad it can cause a myriad of issues with the throttle. From reduced top speed to a no run situation.
my 2006 club car Precedent battery cart will often not go when pedal is pressed. If I move the pedal and forward/reverse switch a few times it will go. When it finally does start its fine. Mechanic at golf shop said its the mcor. Is this right and that is what I need to purchase?
Art Ranta on Jul 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I had that problem in my 2006 Club Car/HuntVe several years ago, and replacing the MCOR did fix the problem. The same vehicle is now out of commission again; won't respond when accelerator pedal is pressed even though power light indicator is on. But this time a new MCOR had no effect. But I'm not a mechanic.
I have a 2005 club car precedent. When you press the go pedal it starts normally, after a short distance it stop as if it lost power. You can release the pedal and push it back down and it starts again but stops after a few feet. You can also hold the go pedal down when it stops and after a few seconds it will start to move again for a few feet. Any ideas what the problem might be?

BEST ANSWER: I had a similar issue. I had a company run a diagnostic & tell me it was my controller. After replacing the controller it still had the issue. I then replaced the speed sense module & the mcor & still had the problem. I finally discovered it was a bad connection in the controller harness after replacing all those parts. I believe it was the speed sense wire connection & I just bypassed harness connection. I would replace the cheapest parts first like the speed sensor on the motor & the mcor.
Got an 05 ds. Mcor looks just like this one not the others. I think it's my problem since I've changed about everything else. Could it be possible to fit my DS?
Bobby S on Mar 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Bobby, most likely not, this MCOR is for Precedents only.
i have 2007 club car precedent electric guess about 1 in 10 take offs its runs maybe half speed so i stop turn off then back on and goes back to full throttle ?
mickey p on Aug 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Sounds similar to our unit's issues, except our speed would just stay at a really low speed or stop. It would start out fast then almost immediately slow or stop.
My electric 48 volt 2006 club car works fine at half throttle. As soon as I go to full gas pedal it cuts out to slow speed. Have to reset it by turning tow switch to tow then back to run. Repeat. Would that be the MCOR?
Allan C on Jul 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It didn't fix our problem which is the same as yours,Not sure what the issue is,we are taking it to a repair facility....
how do you install it?
m H on Jun 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The MCOR is located on the frame under the cart just to the right of the accelerator pedal. On the inside of the frame, holding the MCOR on will be two screws, they will either take a phillips screwdriver or a 5/16 socket. Remove the two screws, and unplug the two plugs on the end of the box. Slide the whole assembly off the accelerator rod. Installatin will be the reverse of removal, just make sure the shaft grooms into the MCOR good.
